If my flat is built in 1989 and my main door faces North, is my flat prosperous ?
Answer 1 : From the year 1984 to the year 2003 , any house or flat that sits at the south and faces the north and has the main door at north has a very good fengshui house till the year 2003. No fengshui cures are required and the family can also be wealthy. However the external landscapes will also play a part to the family's health and wealth. However, if the house or flat have also been checked by a Fengshui Master, then they can make even more than what they are already making.
Question 2 :
Can I put a fish tank in my living room in order to get more wealth ?
Answer 2 : No. Fish tank cannot be placed where you like. As long as you do not know which family members are of weak fire or strong water person, it is not advisable to have a fish tank in your living room and especially not at the West. As the weak fire and strong water person will tend to fall sick if a large fish tank is placed in the living room. Reason being the fire will clash with the water.
Question 3 :
My main door faces West. Can I hang a metal windchime there ? My friends told me it is not advisable to hang metal chimes in any sectors of my house ? Please help.
Answer 3 : Your friend is right. It is not advisable to hang metal windchimes in any sectors of the house as certain sectors can attract spirits to your house when you place them there. If your main door faces the west and your flat is built after the year 1984, then it is alright to put a metal wind chime at your door.
Question 4 :
I am a strong earth person and is in the insurance industry. What colour clothes do you think I should wear to close my sales?
Answer 4 : If you are a strong earth person, then wearing the colours of metal like white, gold and silver and water colours like dark blue and black will make you in harmony with the universe and so you will be able to close your sales. This year, the year of earth over the wood tiger will also be a favourable year to you.
Question 5 :
My office table faces the door to my office room. What should I do ?
Answer 5 : The door to an office room should never be opposite the working table as the chi that comes in once the door is opened, will hurt you. Hence it is better to have the door at a corner of your office room if possible. Also do not have the door at the back or the side of your table.

Question 6 :
My whole flat is painted pink in colour as my wife loves pink. Is that good fengshui ?
Answer 6 : The colour pink comes under the category of the fire element. So that colour will make a strong fire person even more bad tempered. And the pink colour will also hurt the divine water dragon and therefore the house will not be able to receive good luck. Disharmony and no wealth will be the result of the family members staying in that flat.
Question 7 :
In the southern hemisphere, people are of the opinion that something special must be invented for them in the 4 pillars of destiny reading and they cannot follow what is being practised for the north. What is your opinion, Master Lynn ?
Answer 7 : This is understandable but it is not true. The stems and branches are things related to time and time is a relative concept and the frame of reference comes from sunrise and sunset. So it has to be modified according to the longitute and not the latitude.
The strengths of the 5 elements on the other hand is closely related to the climate. Therefore adjustment has to be made according to the local climate condition.
In most places, in the southern hemisphere we just find the mirror image of corresponding places in China and read the strengths of the elements accordingly. For example Spring in the North and it is Autum in the South. So wood strong for one person born in March say in the northern hemisphere but the metal will be strong if he is born in the southern hemisphere.
Question 8 :
Master Lynn, which is important ? location or kua numbers directions ?
Answer 8 : I have been asked this many times and each time I tell them the truth of how I feel about kua numbers. In fact, Kua numbers are good for knowledge only. Their use is actually quite limited. What is important is the location of the area where they are sitting to do work, or to sleep etc. My Master told me, "Lynn it will be very difficult to change people's mind about kua numbers as it is so deeply rooted in them and many famous authors have also written about them. How can you change their mind ? " I told my Master, I am not afraid, I will try to teach them the truth and one day they will know that I am correct. And Ming Kua numbers really do not work ! So Please don't ask me which kua numbers I should sit ? But I have devised another method to determine your favourable direction/position and that is based on your 4 pillars.
Question 9 :
Master Lynn , my office has only one door and no windows , so where is the facing of my office ? Is it where the door is ?
Answer 9 : If a unit has one door and no window, then it is the chart of the building that has more weight as the unit itself has no facing. So we will need to superimpose the chart of the building into your unit and then see if your door is fortunate door or not. On the other hand, if your unit has a window, then the window becomes the facing of the unit and then this unit will have her own chart. Always remember to use logic. Windows are part of logic and use that logic to determine the facing of any unit , house or office.
Question 10 :
Master Lynn , can you tell me more about the history of fengshui ? And are Master Yang and Master Shen, your teachers also ? Thank you.
Answer 10 : The history of fengshui dates back many many years ago........but I shall tell you about the relationship between Master Yang (Tang Dynasty) and my Master Shen (Qing Dynasty). And what is their relationship ?
Master Yang in the old days only taught landscape fengshui and a lot of his students after studying that thought they knew all there is to know about fengshui . And they called their Master as the Master of Form and Landscape. To this day , many books also have been written about how popular he is as a form and landscape master. But Master Yang also picked a few students and taught them the flying stars fengshui. He only picked those who are ingenious and creative to learn. So about 5 of Master Yang's students actually learnt this art of flying star fengshui. Together they handled down several books on this.
In the Late Ming Dynasty, there was a minister called Jiang Da Hong who discovered a secret reading book in the Prime Minister's house. Later the Ming Dynastry collapsed and he lost his Government post. He then taught several pupils fengshui but did not disclosed the secret of the replacement stars even after teaching fengshui for over 20 years.
Master Shen was in the Qing Dynasty, he wanted to buy a piece of land to bury his mother. He read a lot of books and consulated many fengshui masters about this particular piece of land. All confirm it was a good land.....but by the time he wanted to buy, the piece of land was sold to a rich man who wanted to bury his father. He went to see the piece of land when it was dug out. He found the tai chi symbol there in the soil. He knew that was a good piece of land and wondered why he did not make up his mind earlier.
3 Months later, after the burial, the rich man died in an accident and the family lost their business. He called up all fengshui masters but none could explain. Then one day he read the dairy of Master Yang's disciples which stated a certain direction is very evil. Then, this is the answer. There was actually no explanation. It is a star chart called a "Fu Yun". Fu Yun means #5 facing star at the centre and flying forward as in the original luo shu grid. This is the worst.
So Master Shen studied more of his works and paid a huge sum of money to the disciples of Master Jiang who have only experimental narration of the fengshui but not practical part. Master Shen was allowed to read the book for one night and so Master Shen asked his brother in law to help him copy the book in the house. And today, all the case studies can be found in Master Shen's Time and Space Fengshui Handbook. I actually studied Master Yang, Master Jiang and Master Shen's books. So in a way they are also my teachers. I am very fortunate to be able to understand Chinese as I studied Chinese as my second language even at pre-University level where most of my friends had already given them up ! Question 11 :
Master Lynn, how do can you tell if a client has showed you a rich man's 4 pillars ?
Answer 11 : Yes, I can if a man's 4 pillars show 3 money elements and 2 intelligence elements in the original 4 pillars. However a person can also be rich if he is entering into the ten year luck cycle where the elements also make up to the same requirements for a rich man. However do not take this a rule, everything is also dependant on a number of things, like his kind heart etc.etc. Remember, a 4 pillars reading simply follow the process of the Tao and it is also about this ancient chinese philosophy.
Question 12 :
Master Lynn, why is it that everytime, I pick a flat or condo that I want to buy and each time you say it does have good Fengshui ? Is it because you are very strict about choosing a good fengshui flat for your clients?
Answer 12 : No. I have three categories for fengshui house. One is : Excellent Fengshui. Two is ok. Need fengshui checks done and it will be good. Third category is real bad. Do not take it as it can cause you to loose your job, money etc. because the money star or facing star is trapped in the centre of the house. So how can anyone possibly be wealthy if he chooses to stay there. I will not recommend just so that I can check fengshui for your flat and earn some money. This is not me. My principles about fengshui is most important and my clients know it. Unless you already bought it and then get me to check the fengshui for you, it will be different. And I will still advise you to leave once the property value picks up.
But another reason why all the flats you have chosen are not alright is because you are about to enter into a not so good luck period in your 4 pillars. So anything you do, it will be not right. So remember try not to change jobs during this period unless the year is ok.
Question 13 :
Is it true that a swimming pool cannot be place at the right hand side of the house otherwise the husband will have a roving eye ?
Answer 13 : I asked you one question. Have anyone come back to you and say yes it did happen? No right ? So the answer is no. It is not true. Don't believe in what those books say. Some of them are false fengshui which was written long ago. And my master told me don't believe everything he told me but to personally experience from them. That was why it took me 10 years before I came out to do fengshui full time. And from my own cases, these things are not true.
Question 14 :
Then where should swimming pool be placed so that a condo or a house be prosperous ?
Answer 14 : A Swimming pool should be placed now (age of 7 )(1984 to 2003) at the east.
Question 15 :
About 4 pillars of destiny, how can you tell if a person is timid and dares not take risk in his work ?
Answer 15 : If a person's original 4 pillars do not have any resources. Then this person lacks courage and is most likely to be a coward. And if he thinks for too long, he will loose whatever opportunities there are. That is why resources is one of the most important criteria for a successful businessman. But I have seen cases where a rich man did not have any resources but he succeeded. But then again, maybe his wife's self element is the resource element which he needs. That is why a particular rich man sometimes never leave home without his wife. Because his wife gives him the resources which he needs.

Question 16 :
Is it true, we can plan the day to be a good day so that we can go and
close the sales ?
Answer 16 : Yes, it is true, we can plan the
day for example a double metal day for me to give a fengshui talk and
also the hour too especially if metal is one of my favourable elements.
That way, the response to my talk will be very outstanding and breaks
records. These are what the companies staff told me when they plan my
fengshui talks. They said the response had been very very excellent that
they never have such good responses before. They were most surprised and
asked me "Is that day a good day for you ?"..............actually there
are more reasons why the responses had been good. One of them is that
I am the only female english speaking fengshui practitioners in Singapore
and Singaporens being a bit inquistive would like to meet this lady. They
are simply curious.
Question 17 :
Master Lynn is it true that Fengshui practitioners need a few years of learning before they can go out to practice fengshui as a profession ?
Answer 17 : Yes, fengshui practitioners or would be fengshui practitioners would need some years of study preferably from a personal teacher who can then guide them and they will also need at least 3 to 4 years of experiences first before they can then come out to do it professionally. If not then they will lack the experiences and they may not know what to do should they encounter a difficult case. Or they may pretend to know and give all sorts of cures which may actually harm them rather than doing good.
People still live in the homes we did the fengshui for them ( after we have left). And since we know how potent it is when water is placed in the wrong spot, I can imagine what will happen to the family after the so called "fengshui check". Or even lives can be lost when too much water is used and placed in say #2 or #5.
This usually happens when the new "fengshui practitioner" takes the facing of the flat wrongly and then the whole energy charts of the house will be wrong. You will be curing wrong things to different places.This can happen in Singapore as most people live in Government build flats as these are cheaper.And sometimes it is difficult to get a good facing.
Question 18 :
Can water be placed in the south sector of a house ? If yes, why ? because south is fire so wouldn't fire and water clash ?
Answer 18 : A young man called me recently ( August 1998) to ask me this question and my answer is yes, water can be placed in the south if the wealth area is there. Water is needed there to make the occupants of the house prosperous. This is most important and case studies have shown that it is perfectly alright.
Question 19 :
What is a mountain star and the money star ? What do they do ?
Answer 19 : The mountain stars and money stars are energies which are being plotted on a floor plan of a house or office as in a flying star fengshui audit. A mountain star is responsible for the health and harmony of the occupants while the money star or facing star is responsible for the wealth of the occupants. There is also the base star which determines which star is stronger so whether it is the mountain star stronger or the money star. Then we also have the annual star.
Question 20 :
How can fengshui cure bad energies ?
Answer 20 : Fengshui can cure bad energies. That is the main purpose
why people choose to have fengshui of their house done.To cure bad energies,
the best cure is to use metal. And the best for metal is the sound of
metal.

Question 21 :
If I want to buy a house now, what is the best direction my house should
be facing ?
Answer 21 : To buy a new house now, the best
directions, the house should be facing are north or south or north east
and south west. Do not buy a house with the facing as north west or south
east as you will get into financial difficulties. All these for the houses
or buildings built from 1984 to 2003.
For those houses built from 1964 to 1983, there are facing north, the wealth area is in the south,so the main door should be at south sector. While for the houses whose facing is south, the wealth area is in the north east. Hence have the main door as in north east sector. Houses facing north east and south west are also bad.
Question 22 :
Are toads with a coin or the Japanese cat good for fengshui ?
Answer 22 : Yes in a way as these bring in good energy or sheng chi to the environment.But they only last for a short while, then it is back to normal.I do not use these as fengshui cures, my fengshui cures are all based on the 5 elements, namly fire, earth, metal, water and wood.
Question 23 :
These days the weather is so hot, my wife and I wishes to install an aircon in our living room. Where can we place it ?
Answer 23 : An air conditioner is also like a fire as it runs on electricity but it can placed in most good energy areas except one area where it should never be placed and that is at #5 star. If the #5 star is there, it is not good. Off hand, I cannot tell you which direction, the aircon should be placed, Why not fax the floor plan and tell me the directions ( the degrees) of your facing of your house and I will mark it for you.
Question 24 :
Master Lynn do you check fengshui for overeas countries ? and how much do you charge ?
Answer 24 : Yes, I do fengshui overseas provided if the price is right. My airfare, one night accomodation and the fengshui fees of the house need to be paid, then I will go to check fengshui for them. It can in Australia or Bangkok or Malaysia or any parts of the world, provided I want to go. However some Australians prefer to meet me in Singapore when they are here for a holiday or business and they pay me A$550 for a report. This is just for your info only.
Sometimes they would ask me to recommend any fengshui
practitioners in Australia or in USA, then I would recommend Barnaby De
Palmer from Australia or Ray Langley from USA. I recommend them because
they are my friends. And they are pretty good in their fengshui too. Angela
from Australia is upcoming together with Patti Campiel.
Question 25 :
Does fengshui work?
Answer 25 : The answer is yes. It is a big YES. Fengshui has its truth laid down many thousand years ago. Kuo Pu wrote the "Book of Rites" in about 300AD. It was the first fengshui "book". It is actually an article of a few pages describing about yin fengshui. It is only those people who misuse it to earn money that spoil the reputation of fengshui. Now, fengshui too has become so commercialised that it is such a shame. Some people in Singapore who come to my fengshui talk have never had an idea what fengshui is all about. Hence, it has always been my main aim to educate them what fengshui is all about. Look at the roads and the buildings........they are the rivers and the mountains ! Look at how they turn and move..........you will have your answers if you are really deep into fengshui.

Question 26 :
Is a swimming pool at the western part of a house good fengshui ? I have a green dragon and a white tiger and the crimson bird and at the back of my house is a black giant turtle ? Please advise.
Answer 26 : I believe by now, you are facing some real financial difficulites but is afraid to admit.The swimming pool in the west which is outside the house is the one that causes all your difficulites. Pour sand/earth into it and cover it up and you will be ok. Leave it covered till the year 2003. By then your difficulites will be ok and you can then get me to check the fengshui of the whole house and I will advise you what to do.
Question 27 :
How can I choose a good condo unit for myself if I do not wish to engage a Fengshui Master to pick one for me ? Please advise.
Answer 27 : You can first of all follow these simple rules.
1) That the condo project is not near to temples, churches, burial sites etc.
2) Look at where the roads are turning to the Condo or moving away from it.
3) Study where the swimming pool is or where the other smaller pools are.
4) Look for sheng chi and sha chi
5) Choose the middle floors. It is best.
6) If the sales lady tells you , the door faces north or south, do not assume it is a good house. It may not be good fengshui house if the facing is north west or south east especially if it is built in the period of 7. (1984 to 2003). And the facing of the unit need not be the main door.
7) Watch out for the lamp posts facing your main door if any.
8) Look at where the MRT station stops, as the chi carried by the train stops there and hence the chi accumulates there. ( look at my shop for instance) .
9) Do not just buy a condo unit because it is cheaper per sq ft. A Good fengshui flat is more important than the savings you will get. Why do I say that ?
It is because a good fengshui flat will ensure that you and your family are all healthy and happy. Your children will seldom fall sick and you don't have to worry. Secondly, you and your husband will enjoy the good wealth that comes with the flat. And everything will be smooth for you. Children when sleeping in a good fengshui flat can study better and hence their school results will be much better. For all these, isn't it better to pay a little bit more ?
For example, if you think that by buying this unit from Condo Project A, you can save $40,000 while for Condo Project B, you cannot. Do not worry about the prices. A good fengshui flat will give you much more than the savings you "thought" you can save. I personally have experienced how fengshui have helped me.You can all ask my good friends who know me 10 years ago. If fengshui worked for me, it can also worked for you..............
Question 28 :
Is it good to have a main door facing another main door ? Please advise.
Answer 28 : It all depends on the energy maps there. If the stars there need a wall or a mountain, then your neighbour's door provide you with that mountain and therefore, you will be able to enjoy good health and harmony. It is like (if you know something about flying star fengshui) , when you have a star 7 there, it is always good to have a mountain there to ensure good health and harmony. Mountain stars are important. Their use is not only limited to the health and harmony part. There is something more.
Question 29 :
Master Lynn, my mother told me that a person born in the year of a snake cannot marry another born in the year of a pig ? Is that true ? I am troubled, please help as I am a snake lady and my boyfriend of 3 years is a pig.
Answer 29 : My advice to you is "Go where your heart desires". If you really love him and is willing to do anything for him, then that is true love. Make sure he also does the same for you. If he doesn't, then he is not worth your loving him.
It is not true that a snake cannot marry a pig, because they will tend to argue and quarrel. No, this is not accurate and not true.This old tradition has made a lot of people very unhappy in the past as they could not marry the one they really loved and end up marrying someone else. While those who went against their parents wishes and their friends are now so happily in love. I don't want others to go through the same thing, so I want this to be known and to be heard. I have done many 4 pillars case studies on this and found it to be so true.
Hence, when the two person are of the yin earth and
yin earth category or yang water and yang water category in their day
pillars, they are the best match. Why ? Because they understand each other
so well and can get along well and are very loving too after many years
of marriage.
Question 30 :
Master Lynn, what do you advise to those who are keen to learn fengshui ? Where do they start ?
Answer 30 : My advice is to read all available english and chinese books if you can as these will form your knowledge and you will use them when the time is right. Also attend courses by qualifed fengshui masters and learn their techniques. As different flying star fengshui masters have different cures and different approaches in even taking the facing and the sitting of the house. So learn from them, then use your experiences to tell who is more accurate.
You will need to spend money but these money spent are worth it if you want to be a fengshui expert. If you want to be a fengshui practitioner straight away, then pay to someone ( a Fengshui Master ) whom you think is good and be their personal student. After learning, you can then go out to do your own fengshui business. But you will need to take "ang pow" only for the first three years of your career and do as many as 20 fengshui checks a month and 30, 4 pillars readings a month for three years. If you do less than required a month, then it will take you a longer time to become a Professional.
I also intend to franchise my "3P Fengshui Studio " like "Popular Book Store" and "Old Chang Kee" any takers ? There has been quite a few reponses to this but I am not ready to franchise it as I am very strict about the kind of fengshui you intend to use.Also the price does not come cheap and there are many criterias. Master Lynn is well known for being very strict with her fengshui criterias.

Question 31 :
Master Lynn, you are very popular in Singapore and what is the secret of your success ? Is it fengshui or something more ?
Answer 31 : The secret of my success ? well, there are a few factors which contributed to my success. One of them is my University education. I run my fengshui business like a small enterprise with good marketing strategies, all the 4 Ps, like pricing, promotions etc. It is my degree in business administration from the NUS (1982) that gave me the knowledge and knowhow of how to start my own business with minimum costs. That is why you can see why I am so successful and popular.
Secondly is my intelligence. At that time in 1978/79, only about the top 3% of the Singapore population can make it to the University and I am one of them. But I did not pursue my MBA after that. That is my only regret. But then if I did, I would not be a Fengshui Queen I am today and made my parents proud.
Another factor that contributed to my success was my kind and loving heart. I am a Tibetan Buddhist.(I had taken my buddhist vow in 1998 and Lama Zopa Rinpoche is my spiritual teacher) So I helped anyone who come to my shop. There are free Dharma Books at my shop for distribution too. Sometimes I give them free advice. I always give more than what I get. I always tell people, I want to adopt "Lai Pu Yi's attitude towards life - that is to help the poor. That also explains why my fengshui fees are reasonable. I always tell people, open your heart and the Universe will be opened to you. This is Tao.
I am available to take in any personal students but I don't just impart my skill to anyone who is willing to pay. Money is not the issue. That person must have a kind heart.I charge S$8000 to teach my personal student.
Question 32 :
Master Lynn, what are the occupational hazards that you face as a Lady Fengshui Master ?
Answer 32 : Oh that one !................first of all, I wear white pants all the time when I checked fengshui as sometimes I may need to bend down when there are no tables or chairs for me to work on their floor plans and their 4 Pillars.
Secondly, It can be difficult to take a reading when it rains.
Thirdly, sometimes the place is so hot, I will be sweating all the time. But I never complain. I take it as part of my job.
Fourthly, sometimes I am alone with a man of the house, and that may make things uneasy. But I always make sure the main door is open and anyway I always protray a very professional approach in my work. And I always look serious. So I have no problems so far.They all respect me and always call me Master !
Anyway, Fengshui Masters are all trained in face readings so we know who can trust and who we can't. So if one day I see one "fishy" man in the house, I wont even step in to do the fengshui. I will say just leave. Afterall, it is not money that I want unlike other HK Geomancers who wants only money and nothing else.I checked fengshui because I want to help them if they call me. If they call another Geomancer , then to me, it is their karma and it is perfectly alright for me.
Fifthly, if there are too much metal in the buildings around me, then it is really difficult to get a good reading. Then I will use my Electronic Casio Triple Sensor watch to get a reading and then compare. That is why when I wear my anicent chinese cheongam dress and still wear a very modern watch ! people think I am craxy ! as they do not match........... haha.....
Question 33 :
Master Lynn, why do you say your shop is 10 over 10 in rating ?
Answer 33 : Hei how did you know ? as far as I am concerned I only told one client and you mean you hear from him ? haha................well, my shop is at the age of 7 and faces the double 7. So I get too much orders coming in that I cannot cope.......too much yang............energy.........
Question 34 :
Master Lynn,I like you better in this normal dress. In that cheongsam you look so old !!!!!!!!!!!
Answer 34 : Haha.......................................that is my intention to create an image that I am much older as I know I look very young say 29 or early 30's. So I check fengshui usually in my dark Blue Escada Jacket or white shirt and white pants. Sometimes at clients request, I wear my cheongsam there................
Question 35 :
Master Lynn, where did you learn to use the computer and the internet ?
Answer 35 : Well, I used to work for a Company before I come out to do fengshui full time. Those days, I learned to use teleview in 1993 and when internet was in Singapore at end Nov or Dec 1994, I got my internet account and started surfing the net for information.......... So I learned to use IRC (Internet Relay Chat) my nick name was anne123. And I also learned to use freevue for video conferencing and then internet phone as well. It was all for the fun of it.
Later, I created my own homepage under the crystal account but I have not touched it since.............I have a natural flair for computer and it is this skill that enabled me to do powerpoint presentations etc etc.......
But most companies do not have a good projector so I still stick to my coloured transparencies and my portable OHP.
Question 36 :
One of Master Lynn's student asked her this question" You taught us in your course that should the lo pan needles moves and do not stop , it means that house is haunted. So what will you do ?"
Answer 36 : If the needle vibrates, there are a few possibilites of what might have happened. What I have taught you in class is very little.Fengshui cannot be taught in two short days.However, let me give you the reasons.
One is : There are too much metal near where you take your readings. So it does not necessary mean that that house is haunted as what you think.
Second is: Assume that the lo pan readings are really vibrating, then there is a slight possibilty of spirits in the flat. How to cure ? Master Lynn privately told her how to cure. Or read her Book for answers.
Question 37 :
Master Lynn, how do you take the facing of the flat that you wish to inspect ?
Answer 37 : One of my teacher taught me to use the main door as the facing of a flat that you wish to do the fengshui check. So I used his method and took the main door as the facing of the flat and fly the stars accordingly. But I could not get very satisfactory answers from my own house or my clients' home. That was many years back when I was still practitising fengshui freelance and I only took an angpow.(a red packet of any amount).And I would tell them I am still learning and not accurate. I told them to report to me anything unusual that happened.
Later on in the course of my work, I found another teacher and a book that tells me that the facing of the flat need not be the main door. That made me very startled and I started to plot the flying star chart for my home again. This time I got it right and I was so happy.
I learnt one very important lesson from this. That is not to trust your teacher too much but to use it as a guide and from your own fengshui experiences know Whether he is telling the truth or not.

How do you find the centrepoint of a house ?
Answer 38 : What is a centrepoint ?
A centrepoint is the middle point of a house.
The centrepoint is to use to divide the house into 8 different sectors, whether you are using "9 grid" or "8 pie sectors". It is the point which should be found in the middle of the house. Sometimes, if the house is irregular in shape, it is very difficult to get the centrepoint.
Hence, sometimes unused or unwanted spaces are not taken into consideration for locating the centrepoint of the house.
When to consider what sector to be taken off or when to count them in, is a skill. Sometimes after drawing, the centrepoint of the house is not exactly in the centre of the house but skewed more to the right or left. Then you ought to know it is wrong.

Question 39 :
Do you use a "9 grid" or a "8 pie sector" to plot in the energy charts of the house ?
Answer 39 : I have always use the "8 pie sector" to plot the energies of the house. I have never tried the "9 grid" which I heard some famous Fengshui Master taught them this way.
I always believe there must be something in it, if that Master teaches them. The only way to find out which one works is to do the fengshui cures for both and then find out which one works ? This is meant for those who are still learning.
For those who are practising fengshui full time, there should not be any element of doubt.
You have to believe in your "product" you are selling.
If you don't have that conviction, then you would never be able to convince
people you are good. In fengshui, it is a service we are selling. And
Singaporeans generally loved a personalised, professional service. Hence,
Company Image plays a large part in Singapore.
Question 40:
Master Lynn, how do you cure a haunted house ?
Answer 40 : To cure a haunted house, there are several rules to follow:
One is "How do you know it is haunted ? "
You will know it when you cannot go upstairs to check the house. The
lifts brings you up and you cannot get out but goes down again and then
finally you get out on that floor that you want.
Yes, it is scary but I am used to it and I have no
fear.
Once inside the house, you will feel very uneasy. It is like you want
to finish the job and go back. But NO ! we got a bigger job to do here
! We got to save the man or the woman here !
There are many secrets to chase the spirits of the
house but I will not disclose here. Those who want to learn more will
have to attend my one day course on "Practical Fengshui Secrets". Just
a tip or two:
You will need to balance the yang and yin.

Question 41:
Master Lynn, do have ceremonies for familes to perform for their new house ?
Answer 41 : Yes, I do. I use Sandlewood Aromatherapy and rice. And I recommend them only when clients ask. There are many rules to observe which I shall not disclose here. Like when to do it, how and how many times etc......etc......
Question 42:
Do you meditate or use "chi kong" for yourself ?
Answer 42 : Yes I do meditate. I started meditating after I go into fengshui full time. I concentrate on my breath and use colours.I use the Buddhist way of meditating. I also encourage any clients who are too stressed up to go for it.
My sifu taught me how to use "Chi Kong" to make myself look younger and to have more energy in all my fengshui work. As you can imagine travelling from one house to another really zaps up your brain and you can get really tired by the time you reach the third house for the day.
Therefore, I don't schedule 3 flats in one day,
I try to spread them out.
This is why I start my day in my shop at 11am. People don't know.
They think I have a good life, starting my day at 11am. But they
don't know what I have to do in the morning.
What "Chi Kong" my sifu teach? Haha.....................it's a secret which I promised not to reveal. Or go and learn from him, if ever he teaches "chi kong" to the public.
"Chi kong" is getting chi from the Universe into your body. Like a house, we check where the chi goes. Similarily, for our own body, we also need to get positive chi from the Universe. This is important for all fengshui practitioners. Remember, we bring good sheng chi to all our clients. A pretty fengshui master has got more sheng chi than others.
I also play around with my huge clear crystal ball sometimes as crystals do give you positive energy. And yes I can see my future there. If you use crystals, you will know what I mean.
Question 43:
Can we hang fishes any where in the house ? Please advise.
Answer 43 : As a rough guide, generally it is ok to hang pictures of fishes anywhere in the house. Although the painting depicts water, but this water is not real water, not moving and yet not still.
It is like it is there and yet it is not there. It
is what we term in Fengshui Literature as "Kong". "Kong" meaning empty.
So the water effect will take a long time before it becomes effective.
And of course when something is not right, it is time to consult a fengshui
master in.
Question 44:
Master Lynn, do you think people read this page of yours ?
Answer 44 : Yes, I know they read as a few of them asked me questions from my homepages that startled me during one of my fengshui talks to the public.
That made me more aware of my responsibilties of what I write here.
Question 45:
Have you ever encounter any public who tries to make fun of you ?
Answer 45 : Oh yes, sometimes I get it from them. They would ask me a question in mandarin and watch my reply.
When that happens, I will seize this opportunity to speak in my clear mandarin to them. And I don't just answer "yes" or "no". I explain in mandarin. So that makes them realised I am good in mandarin.
Generally, Singaporeans will not accept you if you cannot speak good clear mandarin. So it has become an important criteria if you want to succeed here in Singapore making fengshui your full time profession especially in the English speaking market.
It is like "san san long sen pu sar shui, shui san long sen pu san san". I have also composed a few poems in mandarin and given to my sifu. These are poems which hide a lot of fengshui secrets and only my teacher understands.Well, if someone reads it and also understands them, then that someone deserves to be called a Master.
