Secret Theories

Master Lynn Yap's - Fengshui Unplugged
"The Kitchen & the Stove"
Some of Master Lynn's explanation about Fengshui in Singapore. . .

1) The Stove should not face the main door.
When we go into the flat, we do not wish to see the stove as stove is fire. So you can imagine the family members staying in the flat would be rather irritated most of the times.

2) The Stove should not face the toilet door.
Chi coming from the toilet will get into the food when someone is cooking at the stove. These chi are not healthy. Hence, we do not like the two types of chi to mix.

3) The Stove should not face the door of the master bedroom.
Fire opposite a couple's bedroom is not good as it can cause friction. Remove the stove that is facing the master bedroom

4) The Stove should not be placed under a beam.
The beam represents added pressure. We do not like that in fengshui.

5) The Stove should not face a staircase.
Chi from the stove goes upwards to the staircases to reach the bedrooms. This is not in line with the principles of a good fengshui house.

6) The Stove if seated at the back of a bed is no good.
Fire from the stove adds in more heat to the walls.

7) The Stove if seated at the back of a toilet is not good.
It all depends. Not all is bad.

8) The Stove should not face the wash basin, refrigerator, or washing machine.
If you have that, chances are the husband and wife both disagrees over minor matters. Fire and water, clash causing friction between husband and wife.
