Master Lynn Yap's - Fengshui Unplugged
"The Main Door"
Some of Master Lynn's explanation about Fengshui in Singapore. . .

1) The main door should not face the neighbour's corner or any other sharp corners.

2) The main door should not face a Y-shaped Road.

3) The main door should not face a staircase.

4) The main door should not be blocked by a wall.

Chi once hits any "wall" will turn. Walls also block the chi from going into the other parts of the halls. Hence only Great Fengshui Masters will know how to use walls, partitions, curtains and other "chi activators" to enhance the Fengshui. Knowing how to cure and how the stars fly in Xuan Kong Fengshui is not enough to make you a Master. You will need many years of experiences and Fengshui Wisdom to achieve the master status.

5) The main door should not be facing a corner.

6) The main door should not face a church, funeral parlor or a police station.

7) The main door should also not face a lamp post.

Here, Master Lynn usually relate her client's story of a man who owned a semi-detached bungalow and who had consulted another fengshui master. But he was not happy with the fengshui cures used. And in front of his main door was a lamp post. That fengshui master recommended the use of a Ba Gua opposite the main door.

The owner decided to engage Master Lynn. (whose fees are higher but he said he did not mind paying). And Master Lynn checked the house and found the fengshui there to be good. And the cure opposite the main door was not a Ba Gua but to construct a water pond of 7 kois with a waterfall flowing downwards in line with nature to form a water pond which will "conquer the lamp post" which is a fire. The owner is doing very well and had since been recommending more clients to Master Lynn.

8) The main door should not face a back door.

Chi coming in from the main door will go out as quickly as it comes in. Hence owners will be unable to save money in these houses.

9) The main door should not face a wash basin, sink, pipes from the water pump.

10) The main door should not face the bedroom.

11) The main door should not face a T-Shaped road.

12) The main door should not face the door of any bedroom.

13) The Design of the lamps outside the main door should be in harmony with the house's design.

14) The main door should not have too many designs on it.

15) Should a main door be solid in nature or transparent like a glass ?. Main doors should always be solid.
